Gecko is an autonomous system for the delivery of goods: A robot able to walk on any surface with any degree of incline can reach the user wherever he is. It runs on a continuous track with an electro-adhesive system that enables the robot to climb walls. When the user is recognized by ID card, the robot releases the goods stored inside it. The robot is controlled by wireless connection and can receive all the relevant information about delivery, route and the identity of the addressee. Following the online shopping order, the delivery truck releases the Gecko. Gecko reaches the building where it is to deliver the goods and climbs up its façade to the apartment of the addressee, waiting there for identification and the paying procedure.
