For the PUMPBOARD the existing skateboard concept was taken to the next level. This innovative vehicle is lightweight, can be easily folded and is delivered rolled up like a licorice wheel. The board can be pumped up with compressed air giving it static strength. After removing the rear axle the PUMPBOARD can be rolled up again.

The jury's verdict: "An immediately appealing object at first glance. The Pumpboard is an exciting object first and foremost due to its convincing as well as excellent design and detailing."

Award recipient Maciej Puzon: "I am happy about the award, because it marks the completion of a successful exchange with Bayer MaterialScience. It proves to me that contributions by students can also find acceptance in the industry and that companies like Bayer can benefit from them. Companies are always looking for innovative products. The VisionWorks Award offers the opportunity for young, fresh ideas to meet with established production strategies. Such an exchange should take place much more often."
